Just came from breakfast here and it was our first visit. Fantastic food! I got a omelet with chorizo and hash browns. The omelet was so fluffy it was like eating a cloud and the chorizo with hash browns was to die for. We will be coming back for dinner next.
Fantastic authentic Mexican food. We ordered the Chimichanga and enchilada verdes. Both were so delicious and full of flavor. We also had the lime margarita, very good. They have an outdoor patio that is dog friendly. Highly recommend!
Nice location close to the marina. We ate in the bar area. The enchiladas mole were delicious. My daughter had a burrito that was huge. Nice Mexican beer selection. Definitely recommend.
For dinner we went to Tello's Grille and Catering in Port Washington, Wisconsin. It is locally owned and operated by Angel Tellos where they serve real authentic Mexican food For our entrees I ordered the birria tacos which came with beans and rice. These were absolutely amazing and truthfully some of the best birria tacos I’ve had in a long time. They had just the right amount of flavor and were so delicious Melissa ordered the chicken nachos which she said were super good. The chicken had a real good kick to it Angel the owner insisted on making us a non-alcoholic strawberry pina colada which how can you say no to that? This was absolutely amazing I almost could have went for another one. Plus word on the street is Angel makes the best margaritas in all of Wisconsin Then for dessert we got the “tres leche cake” and it was so divine. It literally melted in your mouth. It was so tasteful and worth every bite Everyone here was very friendly and nice. We got to have some fun conversations with one of their waitresses Brooke who said she has been working for Tello’s for 12 years and said that he is an amazing person to work for and deserves all the recognition in the world. We couldn’t agree more and that’s why we are here to tell you to go check them out. You won’t be disappointed. The food is absolutely amazing, the staff is excellent and the owner is very personable. Highly recommend if you like real authentic Mexican food like us. A little pricey but everything tasted fine. Chips and salsa were delicious. The wonderful manager overheard my friends tell my son happy birthday (I didn't tell our waitress)and packed him up a piece of cake with a candle for when we got home. It was so sweet, I was very touched.
We enjoyed a shared combination platter, the #1 Guanajuato, the steak chimichanga was amazing and tender, the enchilada and taco were good. They have Mexican Coke! Chips and salsa were wonderful. Excellent service, thank you Dominique and Brooke!
Food is amazing and the scenery is beautiful with the painted walls and delicious chips and salsa this is my favorite place to go eat downtown! The servers are very nice as well and always have a smile on their face! Would definitely recommend this to new comers of port if you haven’t tried it out yet!
So we went to Tello's on Fathers day at prime time without a reservation. They got us in at the bar which was just fine. They had a special menu for fathers day that included things you just cant find around here like roast duck for example. They immediately start you off with chips and salsa and the chips and salsa are all homemade and they are amazing. We had the calamari appetizer which was fantastic. Both our meals were really good (I had the seafood enchilada's). They surprised us with a piece of Carrot Cake to go on the way out for fathers day. The service and food quality here is great. Port Washington is so lucky to have this place. Please don't ever leave us. Thank you for a wonderful fathers day meal.
